I'm a multimedia storyteller and producer pursuing a master's degree at the Missouri School of Journalism. I'm interested in the power of storytelling – and how stories influence lives.
My master's thesis is focused on analyzing the differences in portrayals of immigrants in partisan news coverage during the 2016 U.S. Presidential election. I'm examining the news stories that reached the largest audiences via social media platforms. I plan to conduct my research and defend my proposal by December 2017. You can find my research proposal here.
I have experience telling stories using photography, videography, virtual reality, 360-degree photography and videography, infographics, audio and writing. My work has appeared in the Associated Press, Reuters News Agency, Vox Magazine and other outlets.
